Healesville Sanctuary - today's tourist spot.

I went for a stroll through Healesville Sanctuary yesterday. Native flora and fauna only. Twice a day they put on a birds of prey show which is always amazing to watch. The Barking owl, however, nearly took my head off as it came in to land on its perch behind me. And again when it took off again. The other pics are the obligatory kangaroo, wombat and koala.

It was a pleasant day just wandering around snapping photos. I went early to beat the rain but it was still a rather dreary day weather-wise.

I fav'ed that last photo. It is so cool that you are able to view them up close. We have nothing to that cuteness here.

You should hear the mating call of the male koala. Nothing at all cute about that. Downright scary! :)
